This seminar is for all skaters pre-preliminary (ability to do at least 1 full rotation jump) thru senior level with a focus on teaching skaters and their coaches how to develop from the beginning steps on the ice to championship caliber competitors. Skaters grouped by their ability.
 
The Topics of the Grassroots to Champions clinic include: 
(about 3 hours of ice time)
  •      Jumps (singles, doubles and triples)
  •      Off-ice jumping for correct air positions
  •       Correct take-off prints and landings
  •      Alignment of body positions
  •       How to correctly utilize a jumping pole
  •      Dartfish and understanding it’s technological process
  •      Competition Preparation
  •     Conditioning the skater’s body to compete at an elite level
  •    Creating the total package for skating competitively
 
The Grassroots to Champions seminar featured Coaches:

Chris Conte is a PSA rated coach and choreographer, he will demonstrate/speak on how Dartfish technology can speed the learning process. Conte is choreographer to International & National level skaters in Pairs & Freestyle, and has worked with skaters including Tim Goebel, Sasha Cohen and Emily Hughes.

Douglas Webster has
worked as a Choreographer with Stars On Ice, Disney On Ice, Holiday On Ice, and The Ice Theatre of New York.   Mr. Webster has coached at the National and World Professional Level and choreographed for individuals such as: World Champion Lu Chen, World Pro Champs Elena Leonova and Andrei Khvalko, and the amazing Lucinda Ruh - the World's fastest and most innovative spinner.
 
Trevor Laak coaches in Madison, WI and specializes in on-ice jump technique. He works almost exclusively as a consultant to other skating coaches by providing pole harness, video analysis, and regular lesson services to them and their skaters. His own research focuses on quantifying minimum athletic requirements for figure skaters.
 
Final Schedule will be sent to registered skaters one week before the seminar.
