About the OVAL

The OVAL is Minnesota's premier place to heat up the winter and cool off the summer.

This landmark facility is a multi-use sports center, a world-class ice sheet and a community gathering place.

The OVAL is the heart of recreation in Minnesota, over 100,000 guests visit the OVAL each year. Residents of Minnesota revel in their ability to make the most of the winter months. The easiest way to get through winter's cold and snow is to embrace the elements and enjoy them. Ice fanatics of all ages agree the OVAL is the place to be for ice skating, hockey, speedskating and bandy.

The OVAL is the heart of ice-sports in Minnesota. Since it's opening in 1994, the OVAL has hosted numerous local, state, regional, national and international events. Current and past U.S. Speedskaters have trained at the OVAL and hold track records and the U.S. Women's Bandy team trains and competes at the OVAL. Everyday, local athletes take to the ice to train, practice and compete.

The OVAL is the heart of community wellness in Minnesota. Families, friends, businesses, teams, school groups, scouts and faith groups visit the OVAL for a safe, affordable fitness based experience.
